ON THE BANDWAGON...

I finally did it! I joined the blogging community. Hello, big wide world! Uuummmm, what do people write in their first ever post? I am a 36 year old wife and mother to gorgeous Aurelia, our only child so far. My husband, Robin, is Dutch, and moved to New Zealand about 10 years ago. Eventually his parents and brother followed him over. It is really nice for us that they did, 'cos I don't have any family in Auckland. I do have my sisters, my best friends, but one is in Tauranga, and the other is currently living in London... so sad, I miss them both so much!

Well, I guess I should start with why I decided to blog. I have scrapbooked for the last couple of years, but in the last couple of months, I joined some online communities, and started posting layouts in challenges and competitions. I noticed that many of the other s/bookers have blogs, and I even got asked if I had one! So, I finally gave in and here I am! I also thought it would be a nice way for my sisters to keep up with what is going on in my life and with my family, so Hi to Nicky and Lee!

I am not very technologically minded, so it will be interesting to see how this goes. Oh, I hope someone reads my blog...oh well, I guess it is like a diary, so if noone does, at least I may get some of the chaos out of my mind and down on paper...well, on screen at least!!?? Oh, and be kind, I haven't had time to really personalise my blog page yet.

OK, I guess that will do for today. I will leave you with a layout I completed recently for a competition called 'So You Think You Can Scrap' for an online shop; http://www.scrapbookingbydesign/. It has pics of my dh and dd.

See you all next time! (Look how optimistic I am!)

Hi Tracy, welcome to the world of blogging and to Sketchbook! What a goregeous wee girl you have (don't tell her I said that, most four year olds, think they're about fourteen LOL!!) I found one of the best ways to get people to come and visit my blog was to go and visit there's...watch out it's pretty addictive! Has anyone told you about bloglines? Let me know if you want some more information on it.

Looks like you are doing very well so far, both with the blog, and with your pages..... I too am a slow scrapper, or rather, a very distracted scrapper.

I saw your face, and wondered where I had seen you, then read that you did the SYTYCS over at SBD.

Love that page of you and your hubby, beautiful.

Welcome to blogging as Trace as already said it is addictive I have been blogging for a little over two years. I found your blog through the sketchbook. Love the layout and the hand cutting that you had at the end of that second photo looks great. I find I scrap faster at home than at crops, I think that’s because I have no one to talk too. I go to crops to socialise  and to do at least one to two pages. Funny how I take everything but the kitchen sink with me though.
