Is everyone else over the weather? And we are not even quite into August yet...oh well, at least I can spend heaps of time in my scrap room - albeit with the heater on!
Over the next couple of weeks I am going to dripfeed you some of the layouts I have done in the last couple of months. That is because I am an extremely slow scrapper, and have only completed about 12 layouts in the past year - and a couple of those were classes! So, you only get one layout per post at the moment, until I am a faster scrapper - some of the bloggers I have seen make a couple of layouts in one sitting!! It usually takes me a week at the moment to do one layout; but that is better than 3 months ago when I was only doing about one a month. I have been assured that I will get faster the more layouts I do.
So, here is today's layout; and it is actually my most recent. Oh, something else to note, almost every one of my layouts so far are about my daughter - you can see who is the light of my life! Actually, I am just really keen to get her pages done as I haven't even finished her first year album yet. Anyway, this is a layout I did for http://www.sketchbooknz.com/ for a celebrity Challenge. Laura Vegas' challenge was to use flowers and ribbon on your layout.
Now, I have to be honest, this is my least favourite layout of the last couple of months; I loved the idea of using mirrors with rubons and beads, but it just didn't work out as good IRL as it was in my head, lol! But, it is typical of my style - I love pink, green and blue, and anything pretty. Bling, beads, sequins, glitter, flock, and diecut paper are all things I love to put on my layouts. Oh, and I have just got some Glimmer Mist in, you got it, pink, green and blue, and I am looking forward to experimenting with that. I usually handwrite my journalling, although I have terrible handwriting, and the most important things to me when planning a layout are my journalling and photos. So, I think that will do for today. See you all next time. Have a great day!

Hmm, not quite sick of the weather yet, but almost, LOL.
Your daughter is adorable and you do scrap gorgeous girl layouts. I am only a little envious I don't have a daughter to scrap ;)
I am a slow scrapper too, one a week is about all I can manage too. But a lot of the reason for that is life kind of gets in the way sometimes...that and blogging LOL.
I figure we all scrap at our own speed, we also have ebbs and flows. I know that for the furst year of scrapping I hardly scrapped because I was overwhelmed by the products etc. Your daughter is cute. Funnily enough I did a layout today about my tope ten winter loves (because I am over the weather)
Isn't that the best thing about scrapbooking - that there is no right or wrong. I can, not touch my stash for weeks (umm that doesn't mean I don't keep buying it during that time LOL!) and then do heaps in one sitting. I guess we all do what works best for us and our families.
Wow, if that is your least favourite. I can't wait to see some of your favourites! Congrats for winning the challenge. I thought your layout was adorable, and I'm definitely on the hunt for some of those mirrors!
Recognised your layout from the Laura Vegas challenge, well done lucky you getting a kit from Tarisota enjoy playing with it.
Hi Tracy, found your blog link on The Sketch Book so I've added you to my list :-)
I love your beautiful layout ... and I loved all your layouts in the SYTYCS comp. Your little girl is absolutely beautiful!
