HOME SICK

No, not 'homesick', but 'home sick'. That is, my daughter and I are, and have been since last Saturday. And I have had about enough. At least now I have the energy to actually get on my computer and reply to a few emails, etc. My poor baby is in bed coughing her lungs out, despite the use of cough medicine, which I really don't like to use. But at least today she was up and about, much more like her normal self, which was nice to see.

So, we are on the road to recovery, and I thought I should make a brief appearance and explain my absence. I have spent the last few days reading scrapping mags, and thinking in my head of all the layouts I want to do, so luckily, I think I will be well enough to start scrapping again maybe tomorrow. Also, I am catching up with a friend on Saturday, and we are going to spend the whole day scrapping - that is, of course, if my dd and dh are well enough to spend the day together without me to cater to their every desire!!

I will leave you today with another layout from SYTYCS (So You Think You Can Scrap comp); and maybe this one will let you know a little more about me...

Not my usual style at all, but I like it. It was the first time I have ever used chalk to add definition, and I will definitely try it again. It adds a nice shadow around the photo, and also the edges of the paper.

OK, so to anyone else suffering out there, 'cos I believe it is going round, I hope you recover soon!

Hi Tracy

Thanks for visiting my blog, and leaving such a nice comment, you are quite welcome to add me to your 'bloglines', although I've been pretty slack about updating lately.

Hope you guys are feeling better, especially with a day of scrapping tomorrow.

Love that page you did, that was fantastic, I never got a chance to do one that style, maybe I'll get around to it one day.
