Gosh, that has come around fast! I have been so busy organising stuff for Aurelia's birthday this week - it's tomorrow. I can't believe my baby will be 4 - actually, in about 9 hours. We are going out for lunch tomorrow with her grandparents; trying out a new restaurant, The Library in Onehunga, that promises to be kid-friendly, but looks to have a nice menu. It is definitely a challenge finding somewhere to eat that is actually a nice, grown-up place with a yummy menu, but is somewhere kids also enjoy. So, I will let you know after tomorrow what I think, for anyone else in Auckland looking for a family restaurant. So, Whoo Hoots for this week:
- Celebrating the day my darling was born - time goes so fast!
- Coming home today from getting the groceries, and having my dd run out to the car, give me a huge hug and kisses, and telling me she missed me - it's nice to be loved!
- Looking forward to lunch tomorrow, then home for chocolate mudcake afterward - all without having to cook!
- Speaking to my sister in London on Skype - it is difficult to always be online at the same time, so was great to catch up with her.
- The lovely people I am meeting online through scrapbooking - there are some really nice people out there!
Speaking of which, I want to say a big thanks to everyone who is leaving such nice comments on my blog.
OK, that's it, big day tomorrow so off to bed now. I will leave you with my warmup entry in the Olympics over at http://www.sketchbooknz.com/ .
Gotta love those American Crafts Thickers. I had a lot of fun with this one; using watercolour paints on a Prima Paintable. Oh, and I used my new velvet flock on the chipboard bird. We had to stick to the colours of the flag of the country we had chosen; my country is Djibouti, and has lovely colours; blue, green, white and red. We weren't even allowed to use neutrals, except for using a black pen to journal. I think I may have cheated a little as the prima paintable is printed in black...but never mind; this challenge was only for fun. And I am actually happy with how it turned out - even though it doesn't have pink in it, lol!!
