My baby is turning 4!! I can't believe it. Well, not quite yet, but in just over a week. I have been busy organising birthday things; I whipped up this invite to her party on PSE today. A bit of a funny face on her, but it is almost impossible to get a photo of her smiling normally. She is growing up fast; in fact, she is a little bit 3-going-on-13! Very cheeky, and definitely knows what she wants. We are only having a very small party, as just the thought of hosting a big party with lots of people at our house makes me start to have a panic attack ... (there, now you know something else about me!). Aurelia is lucky enough to be getting a trampoline (shushh, don't tell her!) to help expend some of that energy she is full of! She has wanted one for ages, so I am thinking she is going to be very happily surprised on the day. Her Daddy is going to set it up whilst she is at kindy, so she comes home to it. I can't wait to see her face!We are all still not feeling 100% at our house; this 'flu thing is hanging round for ages. I am just waiting for the day when I feel like my old self, and actually have energy to do things...like unpack all my scrapping stuff. I took most of it to my friend, Kim's house on Saturday. I don't think I could go to a crop; I must have taken 10 bags full of stuff to Kim's house, 'just in case'! I must get better at pre-packing kits for crops. Anyway, all the bags are still sitting on the floor of my scrap room and I keep looking at them and thinking I really must put everything away.
We had a great time on Saturday; no kids, just a whole day of scrapping and talking and listening to music and, yes, singing along. Luckily, we know each other well enough to put up with each other's singing. It doesn't happen very often that we both get so long without kids, so we like to make the most of it when it does. I completed one page, and started two others. I know, I know, that is not much, but it is pretty good for me. And I am pretty happy with the page I finished, but just wondering if I could add anything else...I am really trying to layer more, but it definitely doesn't come naturally to me. I will show you the page soon, but in the meantime, here are two more layouts from the SYTYCS comp.

Oh, I love the journalling on this one; I really do believe this quote (much to my dh's disappointment). Life is too short to waste it cleaning! We had to use an object around the house to paint with on this one, I believe...oh, my memory is failing me already! It was quite different for me to scrap pictures other than my daughter, but I quite enjoyed it. We had to copy Lianne Gray's style, and I quite liked it.
OK, I think that is enough for today. Oh, I'm looking forward to hearing more about the Sketch Book Olympics over at http://www.sketchbooknz.com/, I really need some more deadlines to work to; I get much more done that way. Cheers all.

Will give this another go - leaving a comment. That photo is gorgeous for the party invite. I love Jordan's belly too - it seems to have streamlined out lately - it used to be much cuter and podgier:)
Hey it worked!!!
Hee hee hee she might not be so keen on that photo when she really is thirteen ROFL! Panic attacks are the pits - when I was under huge amounts of stress I was getting them often, and still do the very odd occassion, but I've become much better at reading the triggers now and stopping them before they become full blown, so you have my sympathies on that one.
great layouts there Tracy. Time does fly and from the sounds of it you will have a very excited girl on your hands when she sees teh tramp......hope the weather improves so she can play on it.
I love the photo you used for the invite - I think it's cute!
My youngest is almost 4 as well and cheeky ... such a fun age :-)
I love both those layouts, and admired them when I saw them in the comp. Definitely agree with the quote about housework, LOL!
These layouts are too cute! Especially the belly one, how adorable!
