WHOO HOOT WEDNESDAY

Welcome to my first Whoo Hoot Wednesday. Well, here goes.

- had plenty of time to scrap this week; Aurelia at kindy and her grandparents

- spent a lovely day at kindy with Aurelia today as Mummy helper, and got to see her interacting with the other kids

- finished a page I am very happy with, and going to finish another shortly...

- finally getting over the terrible 'flu I have had - you never appreciate your health more than when you have been sick

- Aurelia sleeping late the last few mornings - which means I get to sleep in too...

OK, so I think I need some practice at this, lol. I can't think of anything else right now, but I will try to have some better things next week!!

We are thinking of going away for a couple of days soon whilst dh is on holiday, but with the weather like this, I am not so keen...although we did promise Aurelia we would take her to see some snow this winter, so I am hoping the it clears up a little in the next couple of days. I guess we will wait and see.

In the meantime, here is another layout from the SYTYCS comp; don't worry, only one more to go after this one.
The journalling reads: 'At the moment, you are so obsessed with being beautiful. Every day you put on your dress-ups and ask if you look beautiful. And yes, you are so gorgeous, inside and out. But, I want so much for you to understand that beauty comes from within. And I hope that I am able to teach you to look deep inside your soul and see your...true beauty.' This layout is very dear to me; I love this photo of my darling, and I also mean every word of the journalling.

One of the funniest things I discovered during this competition, is how hard it is to 'deny' your own scrapping style. Try as I might, most of my layouts looked like they were made by me. I would think I had a done a great job of doing someone else's style, then I would check out the gallery and realise that it really just looked like mine!! For example the above layout; we were supposed to cutout some patterned paper, and use black and white and some doodling. I was very happy with my finished page, but when I looked at the other pages in the gallery, I realised how simple my page really was. And I really hadn't thought it was, lol!! Never mind, I am happy with it, simple as it is!

OK, that's it until next time. Have a great rest of the week.

well done on joining in on your first whoo hoot. Great list and I find its the simple things that bring so much pleasure. The journalling on that layout was heartfelt. Such an important lesson for us little and big girls to understand. As for scrapping style embrace yours its gorgegous. It is hard not to compare our own work to others but human nature dictates otherwise.

Great list Tracy. I think Janine has said it all - you have to stick with your style as that's what feels right for you.

Your scrapping style is gorgeous, Tracy! You shouldn't doubt yourself at all.

I hope you manage to get to the snow this winter. We are supposed to be going down this weekend, but we are probably going to postpone it now (the forecast is terrible). The boys are GUTTED but hopefully 2 weeks won't be too long for them to wait!

Wonderful list of woo hoots Tracy! Lots of scrapping time at the top of the list, YAY.
Please don't put your scrapping down...it is fantastic! I often doubt mine too and Miss Angel is very good at putting us right and helping us believe in ourselves more! I loved your style right from the very 1st week, so keep it up and do what feels right to you. The trouble with scrap booking is that everyone has different styles and likes different looks.
And I am so pleased to hear you are starting to feel better after the rotten sickness.

I love the simplicity as you call it of this page. Some scrapbooking always seems to busy to me.Is the white scollaping a bought page?
